**What You’ll Do - The Role (Responsibilities)**
- Perform diesel engine assembly and disassembly.
- Perform control panel upgrades.
- Perform maintenance checks and repairs to generators.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and clients.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, clean and profitable workplace by ensuring that all internal maintenance is done and completed.
- Prepares rental equipment and accessories for delivery, and safely delivers equipment and accessories.
- Disassembles and collects rented goods and accessories, documents on company forms.
- Inspects rental equipment when it is picked up or returned to the office, ensuring everything is returned and identifying any damage or misuse.
- Repairs and maintains rental equipment and accessories as directed.
- Supports the Service Manager with various deliveries and pickups.
- Assists technicians with loading and unloading, to get in and out of the shop in a timely manner.
- Waste oil and coolant areas should be clean and organized. Helps empty used oil, glycol and ensures old filters are placed in their respective containers. If the used oil/glycol tanks are full, contact the shop supervisor to empty them.
- Participates in other internally assigned tasks, which may include for example, additional cleaning of the warehouse, assistance with inventory, etc.
- Other duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time in accordance with the Rental Technician position and the job descriptions and duties set out above

**What You Need (Requirement)**
- 1+ years of mechanical experience (diesel is an asset)
- Diploma/DEP or experience in construction equipment, heavy, automotive, or mechanical equipment is considered an asset.
- Mechanical and/or electrical skills
- Have a diploma in construction equipment mechanics and/or electromechanics or any equivalent relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Be available and flexible to work on call on occasion.
- In the event of a power outage or state of emergency declared by any level of government, be available for work

**Working Conditions**
- Flexibility for emergency calls needed.
- Travel required within British Columbia.
- Manual dexterity required to achieve site and generator service access.

Heavy lifting or moving up to 100lbs may be required.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Mechanical: 2 years (required)
- Mechanical/ Electrically knowledge: 1 year (preferred)
- Excellent Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
- Excellent Computer & Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Drivers License in Good Standing (required)
