**Job Summary**:
The Hydro Vac Operator is a crucial role responsible for the safe and efficient operation of hydro excavation equipment. This individual will operate specialized machinery to perform excavation and material removal while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Equipment Operation**:

- Operate hydro vac equipment, including high-pressure water systems and vacuum systems, to safely and efficiently excavate and remove soil, debris, and other materials.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to the maintenance team.

2. **Excavation Procedures**:

- Perform hydro excavation at the specified locations as directed by job orders, plans, or supervisors.
- Use equipment controls and techniques to precisely expose underground utilities or structures.

3. **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety procedures, protocols, and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow and enforce relevant laws and regulations, such as OSHA, while performing duties.

4. **Communication**:

- Maintain effective communication with the Hydro Vac Swamper and other team members to ensure coordinated and efficient work processes.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or issues promptly to the appropriate supervisor.

5. **Environmental Responsibility**:

- Ensure that all materials are properly contained and disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Promote eco-friendly practices and minimize environmental impact during excavation.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Hydro Vac Operator in the hydro excavation industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of hydro excavation equipment, controls, and maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety, with a history of safe work practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Valid Class 3 Driver's License with minimum 3 year clean drivers abstract
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.

**Certifications**:

- First Aid
- H2S Alive
- ESC Confined Spaces
- Ground Disturbance level 2

**Additional Information**:

- This position may involve irregular hours, including on-call availability, and occasional overnight travel, depending on project requirements.
- Training and certification in safety and equipment operation will be provided as needed.
- Competitive compensation and benefits packages available.

Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- Hydrovac operator: 3 years (preferred)
