And you are rewarded for it in the form of large commissions, bonuses, free services, products, and food We're currently seeking to fill the position of Tanning Consultant. This job consists of the following: - Previous work in a tanning salon is an ASSET however we will train the perfect person - Greeting each and every client that walks through our door with a massively huge smile. As smile so big and so friendly that the client will think to themselves "Have I met her before? She sure seems like she knows me." - Learning how to use and becoming an expert with the tanning beds, red light therapy, VersaSpa spray tanning. - Assisting clients in selecting the perfect tanning, spray tanning, red light or package for themselves, after discussing their goals and needs. - Selecting the perfect tanning products and after tanning products to give the clients the best results. - You will be "Smarttan Certified". This is an online course you will be required to take and complete prior to your employment. The course will outline all the science behind tanning, UV rays, smart tanning, and product knowledge. - You must be comfortable working with others, working by yourself, and working in an often _**extremely **_fast paced environment. - You are very confident in yourself and your abilities. You look people directly in the eye when speaking to them, and speak with confidence and assurance. - You must be able to multi-task, think on your feet, and problem solve at the drop of a hat. We can see upwards of 150 clients in a day and every client presents a new challenge. Some days you are getting pulled 350 directions at the same time, and you need to be able to pay attention to every single one. - You will be responsible for assisting clients by putting them in tanning beds, and then thoroughly sanitizing the beds after. - You will be responsible for overall salon cleanliness. This is an ongoing battle, especially in winter. If sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning baseboards, scrubbing equipment etc isn't for you, then this isn't the job for you. - You will be required to use a computer system in order to process transactions, run reports and put the clients in the beds. - You **MUST **have extreme attention to detail. You must be aware of the clients needs, how long they tanned last time, and know without a doubt the same time to put them in for their next tanning session. - **You must have EXCELLENT sales skills**. You must be able to sell our tanning packages and products to our clients based on their needs, not based on trying to sell the most. We do not believe in over selling anyone on anything they do not need nor require. - In order to be taken into consideration for this position, you must be available evenings & weekends at the bare minimum. We do our best to rotate weekends, so you're not always having to work. Your hours will be approximately 15-20 per week, however if you want more, there are always more available.
