Receptionist / Usher

**Overview**
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Receptionist/ Usher to join our team. As an Usher, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience for our patients. You will act as a liaison between physicians and patients to facilitate patient care and patient flow. As a Receptionist you will schedule appointments, take phone calls and direct patient questions (note you will never do both positions at the same time, you will do one or the other on a day to day basis).
**Duties**
- Take phone calls for appoinments, cancellations and general questions
- Check patients in
- Recall patients when requested
- Ensures exam rooms are filled to avoid any delays in seeing patients
- Be present as requested in situations where physicians need a chaperone in the room
- Assist with equipment sterilization and documentation as directed by the Clinic Nurse
- Collects charts from physician desks intermittently or at the end of the day
- Escort pateints to exam rooms
- Assist patients at the counter
**Qualifications**
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Pass a background check (required)
- Previous experience in healthcare setting is preferred
- Ability to handle cash, debit and credit transactions accurately (required)
- Experience in customer service
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
- A friendly and approachable demeanor, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work as needed for shift coverage/ call outs
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
