Some of the Logistics Manager's responsibilities are:

- Inventory Management & Movement
- Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at the origin and destination to ensure alignment
- Support Branch Managers with customer and inter-branch movement of inventory
- Ensuring execution of transfers are performed - prioritizing quality, time, and budget
- Analyzing logístical patterns and industry trends to predict product requirements
- Keeping track of delivery metrics and conducting related audits
- Maintain records and sightline/forecast of inventory to determine when new inventory needs to be ordered
- Evaluate purchasing policies
- Set and enforce a budget for the purchasing department
- Oversee the negotiations of all purchases made by the purchasing department
- Control the purchasing of containers, contracts, and other goods and services
- Review and audit incoming invoices from vendors
- Other duties as required

Logistics Manager Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management OR equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Logistics Manager
- Experience in a Purchasing role considered an asset
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in logistics operations, including Microsoft Suite
