Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate woodworking machinery and tools, such as saws, routers, and sanders
- Cut, shape, and assemble wood pieces to build cabinets and furniture according to blueprints and design specifications
- Ability to work with sheet goods, veneers and solid wood
- Install hardware, such as hinges, drawer slides
- Collaborate with team members, including designers and other cabinet makers, to ensure projects are completed on time and to client satisfaction

Experience / Skills:

- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools
- Skilled in operating woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a shop environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Posses strong problem-solving and creative skills to develop custom designs and solutions

Ability to commute/relocate:

- York, ON M6E 4X3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- cabinet making: 5 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
