Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Applications, this is a project-focused role dedicated to enhancing the business processes and efficiencies of Make-A-Wish Canada. This role involves guiding our business teams to optimize their processing using Salesforce, eliciting, documenting, and analyzing requirements to address business challenges, and developing data-driven solutions to improve operations. Acting as an interpreter between IT and business stakeholders, this role ensures cohesive collaboration and successful project outcomes. The Business System Analyst is essential for effective communication and alignment between the technical and business teams, driving impactful improvements of our Salesforce solutions. This role can be based out of any Make-A-Wish Canada office and is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Work closely with our business teams to understand their needs and plan system solutions based on your knowledge and experience of Salesforce features and capabilities. - Analyse and document business processes and identify opportunities for improvement. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed technical requirements and translate them into technical specifications in the form of epics, stories, wireframes, business rules and acceptance criteria. - Provide quality assurance (QA) testing of newly developed Salesforce features, configurations, and customizations. - Participate in the development of project plans, timelines, and deliverables, working with the Business Application team resources to deliver on projects aligned with the organization’s strategy. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. - Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Develop and deliver training to Salesforce users to support adoption of system and process changes. - Other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU BRING - Post-secondary education in Information Systems or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. - 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in technology implementation projects. - 3+ years of experience working in a system analyst role on Salesforce projects. - Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Business Analyst, Salesforce Administrator) are highly preferred. - Experience in the nonprofit industry is highly preferred. - Experience with Salesforce NPSP (NonProfit Success Pack) is an asset. - Strong analytical skills to understand and solve complex business problems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in planning discovery activities, mapping business processes, eliciting detailed technical requirements, writing users stories and
