Assistant General Manager

**Overview**
The Assistant General Manager is a member of the operations team which provides a high level of support to the General Manager through the implementation and execution of food related company programs, systems & standards, team member training & development and a commitment to exceptional guest service (MIKES BEST) in MR MIKES SteakhouseCasual.. This position requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

- Commitment to ensuring all customers concerns or problems are dealt with in a way that will ensure a return visit. Always do what is right to win and keep guests.
- Commitment to creating and maintaining a positive, fun work environment for the entire MR. MIKES® team (staff).
- Training and Development of new staff through relentless follow up using the Online Training System (mikeconnect).
- Bar (urbanLODGE) management including but not limited to staff training, inventory control (ordering), cost control, security, cleanliness and execution and implementation of all aspects of the urbanLODGE program.
- Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations and ensuring efficiency across all departments. Front and Back of House.
- Implement company policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Analyze sales reports and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for growth.
- Foster strong relationships with guests to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Coordinate promotional activities and marketing initiatives to drive business objectives.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
**Skills**
- Assists in the establishment and achievement of the operating budget for the restaurant.
- Acts as an instructor in the Franchisee/Management Training Program as required by the Operations Department
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and guests.
- Proficient in problem-solving with a focus on achieving results under pressure.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on operational metrics.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and point-of-sale software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A guest-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduation
- Post - Secondary Education considered an enhanced asset but not a requirement
- Minimum 2 years of Front of House experience (some time in a supervisory or management role) in high volume, casual dining restaurant.
- Provincial Food Safety Certification (an Asset but not required)
- Provincial Responsible Alcohol Service Certification
