Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Executive Meetings Manager is responsible for handling assigned bookings for the small meetings market (-50 room nights) and similar social events. Liaise with clients to ensure aligned meeting requirements, food & beverage, guestroom needs and overall event schedules are detailed (BEO) and communicated within respective departments. Some prospecting and development for new social events is required.
A minimum of 2 - 3 years hotel catering service or hotel sales experience is preferred.
Preference given with a degree in Hospitality.
A motivated, self-starter who takes initiative while making independent decisions.
Strong verbal & oral communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and CI/TY (sales and catering booking platform is essential).
Knowledge of Marriott systems an asset.
You are detail oriented and have an understanding of Hotel / Catering Operations. Efficiently manage guest room and large meeting space inventory. Proven ability to create proposals, contracts and BEO’s in an accurate and time sensitive manner.
