**The Role**

The Educational Attendant will provide in
- and out-of-class support to students whose needs are more complex in nature and require more focused assistance. They will assist with note taking, organization and accessing course/research materials. As needed, the Educational Attendant will be called upon to describe visual material in class and/or during research sessions. They will also be responsible for ensuring safe movement within NWP by providing guidance to students with visual impairments or mobility challenges. The Educational Attendant may also be required to provide peer tutoring support outside of class to reinforce material covered and assist with assignment completion as required.

The duration and weekly hours for this appointment is dependent on the assigned students’ enrollment and attendance. This position is a temporary appointment and would have a maximum of 17.5 hours per week. Wages are based on experience and qualifications of the incumbent.

- Commitment and interest in student self-advocacy
