**Responsibilities for Deli Clerk**
- Greet guests and answer questions regarding goods or services sold
- Maintain a well-organized and orderly deli department that aligns with the company's image and sanitation standards
- Monitor store displays and keep all areas detailed and well-stocked
- Alert managers as to items that have solid out, or need to be re-ordered
- Assist customers by labeling items for purchase
- Ensure the stockroom is organized and orderly
- Assist customers by issuing samples and answering questions related to deli products
- Properly process coupons while following the company's stated policy and procedures

Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging and pricing meats and cheeses
- Preparing special orders and party trays
**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Deli Clerk or similar role
- Excellent customer service, communication and math skills to process customer orders
- Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation
- A courteous and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions and complaints
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Knowledge of Italian products is preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
