Custodian/general Worker

The Custodian - General Worker is responsible for custodial duties related to the Quality Control and manufacturing areas. This includes sweeping, mopping, trash, and pharmaceutical waste removal and other custodial/housekeeping duties as well as sanitation of general and environmentally controlled areas. Follows proper procedures for maintaining equipment, supplies and facilities in a clean-room environment under GMP requirements. Responsible for written documentation of activities**.**

Follows all GMP’s, SOD’s and company policies/ regulations and remains aligned to the Candoo Pharmatech Health and Safety policies.

**Job Summary**
- Perform daily cleaning in CDMO and FD facility areas as per defined procedures.
- Sweep/Vacuum and mop floors, clean windows, clean restrooms and fixtures, clean and maintains lunchroom.
- Clean offices, including dusting desks, trash removal and other areas as required.
- Support Pharmaceutical and non pharmaceutical waste management procedures.
- Prepare cleaning solutions and rotate them as per assigned procedures.
- Perform safety showers and eye wash station checkups and cleaning.
- Restock all gowning areas as per defined procedure.
- Organize new uniforms and return used uniforms to the laundry service truck.
- Perform sanitization of GMP facility, QC lab area and equipment per procedures.
- Keep inventory of cleaning solutions and mops.
- Effectively communicate status of area and any problems or issues found.
- Perform light Maintenance duties such as but not limited to painting, change light bulb etc.
- Record daily, weekly and monthly cleanings in the cleaning logs.
- Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Candoo Pharmatech Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies and HR policies.
- Actively seeks and accepts positive and constructive feedback from colleagues and leadership.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience in janitorial or custodial roles, preferably in a regulated industry such as biotech or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation. Practices (GDP) preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to lift 20 kgs. on a regular basis.
- Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment as per company procedures.
- Able to handle physical demands of the job, including continuously stand and walk throughout the workday.
- Ability to read, write, and understand documentation in English.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexible to shift work and overtime as required.

Pay: From $17.30 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
