**Position Summary**:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team in a PET plastics extrusion and injection molding environment. The Sanitation Worker will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards throughout the facility, ensuring that production areas meet regulatory and company standards for cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities
**Cleaning and Sanitizing**:

- Thoroughly clean and sanitize production equipment, workstations, tools, and surrounding areas in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Clean floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to remove dust, debris, and contaminants.
- Properly clean and sanitize PET extrusion and injection molding machines, ensuring there is no cross-contamination between production runs.
- Handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.

**Sanitation Protocols**:

- Follow strict sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a clean and safe production environment.
- Disinfect surfaces and high-touch areas, including door handles, light switches, and restrooms.
- Clean air vents and filtration systems to ensure optimal working conditions for both machinery and staff.

**Compliance and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, including cleaning schedules, materials used, and inspections performed.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary sanitation documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to sanitation, health, and safety.

**Material Handling**:

- Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies according to manufacturer instructions and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and communicate when replenishment is needed.
- Safety and Maintenance:

- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or maintenance issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and safety procedures are followed at all times.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a sanitation role, preferably in a manufacturing or food-grade production environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Experience with cleaning chemicals, machinery, and industrial sanitation equipment is a plus.

**Working Conditions**:

- This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various machines and tools.
- Physical demands may include standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and working with cleaning agents and equipment.
- Compliance with safety and hygiene standards is essential for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
