Rainbow Housing Cooperative Ltd is a nonprofit organization that offers housing to it's members at an affordable rate.

**Duties of Maintenance Assistant (as outlined by Senior Maintenance Manager)**
- maintain good working relationship with Cooperative members, staff and the public
- assist with annual unit inspections
- assist with move-in/move-out inspections
- routine maintenance/repairs/replacements on equipment, property, occupied and vacant units
- maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders, equipment logs and inventory
- responsible for snow/ice removal of all common sidewalks and other areas
- provide care to grounds including mowing, trimming, watering lawns etc
- ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- must have a valid driver's license and road-worthy vehicle

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- grade 12 minimum education
- good knowledge of basic skills in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, heating, mechanical, painting, electrical and grounds keeping
- ability to operate standard tools of the building trade
- ability to work independently

**Job Type**
- full-time

**Salary**
- $20.00 per hour

**Hours**
- 35-40 hours per week
