Purchasing Analytical Buyer/Planner
**Responsibilities**:
- Analyze the Inventory report (weekly) to determine and prepare reorders.
- Review various reports (Booking & Sales Reports) for stock status.
- Prepare reorder lists and distribute for review to management for replenishment.
- Confer/negotiate with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability, and delivery date.
- Compute Cost sheets based on price/testing changes to ensure target profit margin.
- Prepare Sales Analysis (based on historical trends) and projection reports for assigned product lines and distributing them accordingly. Analyze and interpret the results, leading to replenishment decisions.
- Discuss relevant product issues with product Developer/ Manager/ Compliance
- Monitor on order quantity, bookings, and inventory status for each item under assigned product line.
- Generate preliminary Carry forward listings, distribute, and then to compile results for Final listing.
- Evaluate weekly Top 30 items to ensure order coverage.
- Double-check and authorize purchase orders.
- Maintain download files in AS400 and prepare statistical trends.
- Ensure projections and any relevant information is updated in AS400. Update designation code changes in AS400.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary business related education or five years related retail/wholesale inventory/ purchasing, analytical forecasting and inventory control experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Ability to read business correspondence, analyze reports. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Strong understanding of statistical trends and implication of projections
- Ability to analyze reports with very large amount of data, decipher/understand/interoperate the information and arrive at the appropriate planning/buying decision.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from management, developers, and internal departments.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages and volume, moving averages.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Strong PC skills - Excel, Word, AS/400, E-mail/Internet.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
