**Responsibilities**
This **full-time onsite position** reports to the Shipping and Logistics Supervisor and involves coordinating and monitoring items both shipped and received into the warehouse daily.
**Essential Responsibilities**:
- Managing incoming deliveries to the warehouse by verifying and signing for shipments, unloading, and storing the received items
- Prepare the bill of lading for customers based on shipping needs
- Ensure that all products are packed, labelled and recorded appropriately in preparation for transport (based on the requirements of Malpack and the specifications of the customer)
- Record all order details into the bill of lading and electronic systems
- Keep a meticulous record of shipping information
- Communicating with courier companies to provide the most efficient shipping route and to negotiate courier fees on behalf of Malpack
- Communicate with drivers and provide instructions regarding parking their trucks
- Responsible for tracking shipments and to ensure that orders are delivered to customers on time
- Communicate with the Customer Service team if orders are expected to be late or cannot be fulfilled in a timely manner
- Provide clear direction and instructions for Material Handlers and other employees working directly in shipping and receiving
- Remain in contact with Production Schedulers, Inventory Control Lead, and Operations Manager to communicate any changes in inventory or related to inventory and lead times
- Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas
- Process all returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items
- Address any information related to inventory and/or orders during the bi-weekly production meetings
- Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
- Ensure regulated and proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, and clothing are worn
- All other duties assigned
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Level with MS Excel and other MS Office Applications
- Proficiency with computers
- Prior experience in manufacturing, shipping, receiving, or a relevant field
- Knowledgeable of all products and SKUs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- Solid time management skills and deadline oriented
- Outstanding organizational skills - able to handle multiple priorities and tasks
- Comfortable with learning new software platforms and computer programs
- Flexible and adaptable, able to manage changing priorities
- Estimating and forecasting skills
- **Able to lift items and containers up to 50lbs**:
- Strong attention to detail
**Working Conditions**:
- Warehouse work environment
- Typical schedule to include Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM however extended hours into evenings and weekends will be required from time to time
- Working in a loud environment
- Working indoors in a potentially warm or cold climate
- May require you to travel to various parts of the warehouse
- Standing for extended periods of time
**Please note this is a full-time onsite role. We are located in Ajax, Ontario close to Hwy 401 and Westney Road and accessible via public transit, free parking is available. Remote/Hybrid work is not available for this position.**
