**We are a fast paced 2 doctor practice with a large client base and a fantastic team This is a perfect opportunity to work in a challenging yet supportive environment where learning and development opportunities are endless**

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our fast-paced small animal practice.

Maintain and update client records in our practice management software

Manage referrals and patient follow ups

Communicating with our clients

Administrative duties

**Job Requirements**:
Be comfortable handling animals

Have excellent customer service skills

Experience in the Veterinary field

Ability to work well under pressure while remaining calm

Proactive and take initiatives to work effectively without supervision

Must be able to prioritize your workload and make fast decisions

Able to problem solve

Able to work independently

**Experience**:

- Reception: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Veterinary Assistant Diploma(preferred)

**Salary**: $13.35-$15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Masks are optional for clients, required for staff. frequent sanitizing of common areas, curbside pick up is available.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Halifax, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
