We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is. **As an Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper your responsibilities will include**: - Bookkeeping preparation and posting of client transactions - Planning and execution of compilation engagements, including preparation of financial statements - Preparing adjusting journal entries - Performing reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable - Performing reconciliations of payroll and T4 returns - Preparing personal and corporate tax returns, partnership returns, trust returns and HST returns - Assisting a broad range of privately held business clients with day-to-day accounting queries - Completing additional ad-hoc duties or assignments as required **Be Grant Thornton** If you’re a bit like us, you’re driven to connect with how others are feeling and thinking. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick**: - An accounting certificate, diploma or equivalent practical experience - 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in bookkeeping - The ability to work independently and within a team - Excellent attention to detail - Ability to be an articulate, inspiring and versatile communicator, both written and verbal - QuickBooks certified - Ability to execute on deliverables in a deadline driven environment - Thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast paced and complex environment - Results oriented with a sense of urgency. Quick learner, self-starter and exudes a “can do” attitude - Good understanding of team dynamics and cohesion.
