**About Us**:
Seletech is a prominent player in Alberta's electrical and communications industry, with established offices in both Calgary and Edmonton. As a Business Development Manager, you will be an integral part of our growth strategy, working closely with the Director of Business Development to cultivate direct sales, channel partnerships, and technology collaborations.

**Your Role**:
As our Business Development Manager based in our Edmonton office, your primary responsibility will be to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the electrical, communications, telecom, fire alarm, security, card access, and automation and controls sectors. You'll engage with a diverse range of clients, including general contractors, architects, property managers, business owners, municipalities, and more.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Research and pursue potential accounts in targeted markets, ensuring successful agreement closure.
- Develop a deep understanding of target markets, industry dynamics, and effective market strategies.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Foster and nurture relationships with existing clients while actively identifying and engaging new prospects.
- Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Maintain accurate customer activity records in the CRM platform.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
We're seeking an individual with:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to connect with clients.
- Previous sales, project management, or account management experience in related industries.
- Self-motivation, commitment, and follow-through.
- Journeyman Electrician Certification or technical diploma or degree in Communications, Telecom, or related technical field.
- 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer management.
- Exceptional organizational, strategic planning, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

**Job Details**:

- Salary in accordance with experience
- Work Location: Edmonton (in-person)
- Some travel required.

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Business development: 2 years (preferred)
- Electrical, Communications or related industry: 5 years (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
