**Summary**:
The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing event spaces and ensuring that our guests have a positive and memorable experience. They will be responsible for consistently delivering “best in class” customer experiences, and through multiple communication avenues, they will ensure each guest receives sincere, timely, and professional service that results in an overall positive experience. The Banquet Manager will oversee the events teams that are responsible for working each event and will use creativity, organizational skills and vision to assist the business in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client relations and improving our growth through successful events. The Banquet Supervisor is in charge of events when on site and will work in tandem with the Event Sales Manager and Assistant General Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that the event spaces are set and presentable for tours and detailing meetings
- Oversee function room set up and adhere to instructions/steps as outlined in the banquet event order (BEO)
- Oversee the flow of the timeline, with specific attention to the venue related specifics (movement of furniture, archway, barrels, unlocking of rooms, guiding guests through the space, lighting of candles, movement of candles etc.)
- Continuous and efficient communication during the event with servers, bartenders, kitchen, third party vendors, etc. to ensure timely execution of all events.
- Responds to patron complaints during events, ensuring resolution of issues that arise as well as escalating concerns to the Assistant General Manager.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations and company standards while also making sure others are following suit.
- Meet with Event Sales Manager to ensure all details are relayed for the event
- Ensure all supplies are stocked and ready for upcoming events (candles, alcohol, cocktail ingredients, etc).
- Ensures that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy.
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of event arrangements necessary to ensure client objectives and expectations are met including working with clients.
- Observes and coaches service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers.
- Assists in the training and development of Event Team.
- Assists in the development of service procedures, checklists, and other guided tools needed.
- Maintains Liquor/Keg inventory (weekly/monthly) and regularly inventoried items to ensure the
- Complete orders for alcohol and non-perishables through third party providers.
- Complete weekly liquor counts and provide to the Taproom Manager.
- Gather and set appropriate place settings for events.
- Oversee expo in-house plated dinners.
- Ensure the room is clean and refreshed for site tours.
- Supervise the cleanup of the function room, breakdown and storage of all equipment and rentals.

**Job Requirements**:

- Understanding and passion for craft beer.
- Ability to provide management level coaching and guidance on performance management, employee relation issues and staff planning.
- Self-starter and eager to deliver results.
- Down-to-earth communication skills with a genuine presence.
- Customer focused and dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external relationships.
- Must be eager to learn, to grow, to be a part of chaos and to create fun.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of One to two years’ experience in a events management with a focus on exemplary customer service.
- Smart Serve Certified (required)
- Formal beer education, Prud’homme or Cicerone (in progress) would be an asset.

Four Fathers Brewing Co., is continuing to create unique and marketable experiences as a destination brewery in Hespeler Village, located in Cambridge, ON. The overall 90,000 sq ft facility currently includes a taproom with stage for live music, a 5000 sq ft event space and ample open area yet to be developed. We established a reputation for producing premium craft beers, with flagship brands such as The Starter Session IPA, Shevchenko 9 Ukrainian Dunkel and Honey Badger Saison.
