**Program Overview**
The primary responsibility for an Administrative Youth Justice Team Lead is to develop resources and tools to support the onboarding and training of Youth Justice team members as it relates to the documentation practices and individual goal setting process with youth. The position will be responsible for conducting audits of each client file to ensure they adhere to program and funder requirements. The position provides administrative and coordination support for youth programing and appointments. The position may also be assigned to fulfill the responsibilities of a Youth Worker when staffing levels necessitate that they be on program. The position will operation with a client-focused, strengths-based, and relationship-based lens.

**Administrative Youth Justice Team Lead**
- Develop and implement audit tools/checklists for client files; conduct regular audits of physical and electronic records to ensure compliance with organizational, ministry, and youth justice requirements.
- Provide feedback and follow-up to staff on outstanding documentation; submit audit reports to management.
- Create resources to support staff onboarding/training (sample documents, FAQs, guides, serious occurrence reports).
- Train, mentor, and support new and existing Youth Workers in developing client program goals and case plans.
- Act as primary contact with parents/guardians, probation officers, and other external supports.
- Coordinate youth appointments and programming in line with case management plans; interact regularly with youth to monitor progress and needs.
- Provide direct program support as needed, including youth care, house checks, security procedures, and administrative/housekeeping tasks.
- Model trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practices and agency values.
**Youth Worker**
- Provide safe, therapeutic care in a live-in setting, building strengths-based, inclusive, and equitable relationships with youth.
- Serve as Primary Worker for assigned clients, ensuring case plans and records meet agency standards and privacy legislation.
- Support client mental health needs using trauma-informed interventions within legal and CRPO guidelines.
- Lead and participate in life skills, recreational, and family engagement programming.
- Complete administrative duties, maintain communication systems, and manage agency assets responsibly (finances, property, meal prep, etc.).
- Supervise students and reconcile client medications as assigned.
- Liaise with detention sites, courts, and partners to support youth level determination and system coordination (as applicable).
- Represent the Agency professionally with families, professionals, and community partners.
- Participate in team meetings, training, supervision, and all mandatory agency programs.
- Comply with policies, health and safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of programs and protocols.
- Perform other related duties as required.
**What You Bring to the Team**
- University or College Degree/Diploma in Child and Youth Work, Social Work or equivalent.
- A minimum four (4) years of relevant work experience in a Youth Justice program, preferably in a live-in setting.
**What Will Set Up Apart**
- Excellent case management skill with the ability to conduct thorough needs assessments, develop goals and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional documentation skills, detailed orientated, with demonstrated experience in keeping both physical and electronic files up to date and accurate
- Advance technical knowledge with expertise in Mircosoft Office and TREAT (or other similar client databases).
- Proven experience in guiding and supporting others, particularly with computer systems and tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with at risk adolescents and young adults
- Strong understanding of the complex issues and systemic barriers facing our clients and the community supports available in the GTA to help address these challenges.
- Appreciation of the importance of engaging youth and families from a strengths-based relationship-based approach
- Ability to exercise professionalism and sound judgement in conflictual and stressful situations
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders effectively, respectfully, and efficiently with mínimal supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to resolve issues with supervisors and co-workers in a manner that is respectful and cooperative in accordance with the agency culture and philosophy
