The role: _*
As the Manager, of Flight Coordination Centre, you will oversee our flight coordination center hub, leading a large team in a dynamic, exciting environment. Ultimately, your goal is to ensure all flights operate smoothly while fully addressing customer expectations and maintaining strict safety standards. A strong collaborator, you look for ways to make improvements, thrive on addressing new challenges, and get things done, all to deliver exceptional performance.
**What you bring**:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree ideally in business, aviation, or another relevant program
- 5-8 years experience in a flight control/coordination role in a high volume, complex environment; at least
- Minimum 3 years of supervision/management experience leading teams of 10+ will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid knowledge of all aspects of a flight coordination function in a high volume, dynamic and complex environment; strong familiarity of compliance requirements as per the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR) & Canadian Transportation Regulations (CTR)
- Strong, proven understanding of client account management and flight coordination roles
- A passion for creating exceptional customer experience supported by a solid customer-driven approach and focus on performance excellence
- Strong, demonstrated leadership skills to support, mentor, train, and coach team members while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment - you set clear performance standards and monitor them together
- Solid communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation
- Solid time-management skills with the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines
- Strong initiative, willing to roll-up sleeves alongside your team and go above and beyond as required to deliver customer expectations
- Solid problem-solving and judgment to resolve critical and time-sensitive matters
- A flexible, adaptive approach to operating effectively in a highly complex, deadline-driven, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to leverage company-specific programs
