Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding food preparation, sanitation, and safety
**Experience**:
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
**Skills**:
- Food preparation: Ability to prepare ingredients, measure quantities, and follow recipes accurately.
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling techniques, including storage, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention.
- Cooking: Proficiency in various cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying.
- Kitchen: Familiarity with kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools used in food preparation.
- Meal preparation: Ability to efficiently prepare meals according to menu specifications while maintaining quality standards.
- Food service: Understanding of customer service principles in a food service setting.
