We are a Spanish Tapas style restaurant and bar. Our goal is to bring authentic Spanish dishes and a vibrant dining experience to the suburbs of Toronto. Some of the features will include an open kitchen, fresh seafood, private dining, imported ingredients, and sangria menu.

**Summary**

We are looking for someone innovative and passionate about their cooking. We are offering a unique opportunity to takeover and manage a highly functioning kitchen that is highly rated in our community. We are a 4.6 on open table and need someone who will work to keep this rating consistent. As our Head Chef you will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen and will work in tandem with our general manager and front of house manager. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of the kitchen with the goal of delivering great food, minimizing waste and running a profitable business. Under your strong leadership, you will lead the “heart of our house” by developing and managing all employees with the drive to always deliver the best in customer experiences.

As the Head Chef of the restaurant some of your key duties and responsibilities would include:

- Creating order lists and submitting orders
- Doing prep work for any of the stations in the restaurant
- Working the hot line/cold bar or the paella station.
- Establishing guest service standards and providing leadership, direction, and oversight for execution from all team members
- Ensuring an exceptional guest experience from restaurant to takeout delivering consistent quality with every visit.
- Assessing and overseeing all staffing responsibilities including training
- Establishing procedures and guidelines to ensure a smooth run kitchen
- Ensuring the kitchen is kept to the highest organizational and cleanliness standard

**Experience and Skill-set Required**:

- 5+ years food experience, preferably as a head chef
- Have exceptional communication, problem solving, and relationship building skills with the ability to motivate and engage all employees
- Motivated, passionate and knowledgeable in Italian cuisine
- Ability to bring creativity and passion to our cuisine
- Written and oral English skills
- Extensive cooking knowledge-seafood, meats, vegetables etc.
- A forward thinker that can determine and implement system improvements
- An expert at creating an amazing guest experience in all interactions as well as training employees to do the same
- An energetic professional that demonstrates a high level of accountability
- Possess your Food Handler Certifications
- Enjoy building a business in an entrepreneurial environment
- Immaculate attention to detail

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
