Fireproofing Applicator

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, data, drawings, and project specifications.
- Ensure proper coverage and thickness of fireproofing materials according to project requirements.
- Conduct inspections to assess the quality of finished work and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
- Collaborate with team members and other trades to coordinate project activities.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to job tasks and materials used.
- Typical job hours would be 6am-6pm depending on location of job.
- Working on the road Monday to Friday often - Hotel and meal allowance provided as needed (for overnight stays).

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Fireproofing Applicator or similar role in the construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, data, drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Additional safety training considered an asset.
- Knowledgeable of electronics considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license, clean abstract, and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Class 1 Drivers License, air brakes or additional endorsements preferred.
- Ability to travel within Atlantic provinces, Monday - Friday.
- Must be able to meet physical demands (i.e. lifting/holding 55lbs comfortably, standing for long periods).
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
