- Current certificate as a Personal Support Worker or Health Care experience
- Related experience in a support worker role an asset
- The ability to multi-task, prioritize duties and have good time management skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and be comfortable working with seniors
- Have current first aid and CPR. Gentle persuasion training an asset.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide personal care service in accordance with the established care plan and ensure that on an ongoing basis, the physical and cognitive well-being needs of residents are met to the greatest possible extent.
- Provide personal care that is within the provincial scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker; duties include providing personal care and hygiene to residents and assist with activities of daily living.
- Observe and report changes in resident’s condition and report any changes to Director of Care.
- Provide ongoing support to residents in the facility as needed which includes social interaction with residents.
- Maintain resident/family information confidentiality
- Promote maintaining a safe environment for residents and work safely in performing duties
- Must possess mature attitude and demonstrated comfort level working with seniors.
- Must be reliable and available to work all shifts including weekends
- Must have ability to work independently or among a team
- Complete all other tasks as assigned
- Various shifts available
- Vulnerable sector check, TB screen and must be covid vaccinated
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From $17.35 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are provided personal protective equipment as required.
