Job description

Springwood Animal Hospital is seeking a confident, passionate, detail oriented Veterinary Technician to join our growing facility. The ideal person works well in a team environment as well as individually. Avimark experience is a MUST. Wage determined by experience and proficiency.

We are offering a Full-Time position that requires availability to work days evenings and some weekends.

Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:

- Anesthetic Monitoring
- Surgical Prep/Assisting
- Administering care to in house and hospitalized patients under Veterinary direction.
- Restraint of Cats and Dogs
- Daily upkeep of the clinic
- Answering phone calls and client questions
- Use of Avimark to book appointments, invoicing, make estimates etc.
- Assisting clients
- Handling and collecting lab samples (Blood, Urine and Fecal Samples) and In House Laboratory Work
- Helping in the day to day aspects of the veterinary clinic

Qualifications:

- Completion of a Veterinary Technician certification from an approved program, or equivalent “on the job” training program, Required.
- Proficient computer skills; Using Excel, Microsoft and Avimark (required)
