**Position Summary**

We are seeking a Shop Lead Hand to join our growing team As a Shop Leadland, you are responsible for coordinating and directing the workload of the Service department for maximum efficiency and productivity while ensuring quality repairs and encourage the proper policies and procedures of all paperwork.

**Shift and Pay**

Monday - Fridays 12:30 PM - 9 PM
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide direct supervision of, assign duties to, and generally lead shop employees.
- Ensure timely and efficient repairs of customer vehicles.
- Execute daily operational tasks provided by service management.
- Escalate operational or personnel issues to service management.
- Perform quality check on work performed on customer vehicles.
- Ensure the shop is kept clean and tidy, including leaving proper space in aisles.
- Provide service management with daily shift reports.
- Oversee shop operations in the absence of service managers.
- Enforce safety standards in the shop with all employees, regardless of department or level. Report safety violations to service management.
- Check all major equipment including forklifts, cranes and pallet jacks regularly and report repairs to maintenance. Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Report quality deficiencies immediately.
- Manage special projects as required.
- Assists with the assignment of jobs and work areas to shop employees according to their skill and knowledge.
- Review service orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Directs and assists mechanics and apprentices in the diagnosis of machine problems.
- Test driving unit to confirm repairs.
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs
- Complete commercial vehicle inspections with integrity and professionalism
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

**Qualifications**
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Capable of driving commercial trucks and trailers in/out of the shop. (Class 1 is preferred).
- Forklift license preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
- Red Seal Technician's preferred.
- Valid CVIP inspectors certificate preferred.

Pay: $43.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
