**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Prepare Vegetables Quickly**: Receive deliveries of fresh vegetables and promptly begin preparing them for cooking or food assembly. Work with speed and accuracy to ensure that vegetables are cut and sliced efficiently according to kitchen specifications.
- **Maintain High Volume Production**: Handle high volumes of vegetable cutting tasks efficiently and effectively, maintaining consistency and quality in vegetable cuts even during peak periods of kitchen activity.
- **Portion Control**: Measure and portion vegetables accurately according to recipe requirements and portion sizes, ensuring that vegetables are portioned appropriately to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.
- **Clean and Organize Work Area**: Keep work area clean, organized, and free of clutter at all times. Dispose of vegetable scraps and trimmings properly and promptly clean cutting boards, knives, and countertops to prevent cross-contamination.
- **Assist with Food Preparation**: Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping herbs, preparing garnishes, and assembling ingredients for cooking or plating. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
- **Follow Instructions**: Follow instructions and guidelines provided by kitchen management regarding vegetable preparation, portioning, and presentation. Communicate any issues or discrepancies with recipes or instructions to kitchen supervisors promptly.
- **Adhere to Safety Standards**: Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines governing food handling and kitchen operations. Use kitchen equipment and tools safely and responsibly to prevent accidents and injuries.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role, particularly in a fast-paced environment, is preferred.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen cutting tools and equipment.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and willingness to work collaboratively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per year
