Reporting directly to the Director of People and Corporate Services, the Manager, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Anti-Racism is responsible for bringing the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Anti-Racism (IDEA) strategy to life at Compass. The Manager of IDEA will advise the senior leadership team (SLT) on how to effectively align IDEA to achieve business objectives within the agency. The primary focus of the role is to support our agency’s commitment for a safe and diverse workforce, which is reflective of the communities we serve, and sustaining a workplace culture that is inclusive, welcoming and equitable and where staff and clients experience a sense of belonging. The successful incumbent will also focus on health equity, accessibility and human rights of our clients and their families so as to contribute to the delivery of exceptional client experiences.

This role requires experience in facilitating and effecting strategy within a team alongside a meaningful knowledge of IDEA. The Manager of IDEA plays a key strategic role in advancing, implementing, and promoting agency IDEA strategies through a range of initiatives and activities that align with the agency’s purpose, values and Strategic Plan/priorities. The Manager of IDEA will be a key point of contact with programs, departments, and leaders across the agency, collaborating to advance, advise, guide and champion inclusive behaviours and processes. The Manager of IDEA supports and incorporates IDEA principles into core agency systems, structures, practices and policies, achieving improved results from a staff, leadership, clients, and agency perspective.

**DUTIES**:

- Build and lead the execution of the agency’s IDEA Strategy, annual operational plans, and measure against identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure successful achievement.
- Lead the integration and alignment of IDEA practices and initiatives with the current and emerging needs of the agency while informing and supporting leaders on IDEA best practices.
- Lead a team and/or employees without direct supervision.
- Increase agency awareness of unconscious bias and mitigating bias in the workplace.
- Provide fact-based insights, advice, and counsel to enable leaders to make informed people decisions.
- Development, oversight and implementation of the agency’s accessibility plan and annual IDEA programming and events.
- Contribute to and participates in committees across the agency to embed IDEA at the earliest stages of planning.
- Collaborate with internal partners to integrate DEIA into HR practices.
- Launch awareness campaigns that promote understanding and respect for diversity, belongingness, fostering a culture where differences are valued and conflicts are minimized.
- Act as a resource to assist and guide Leaders and staff in fulfilling the IDEA expectations outlined by the government (Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS)) and Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO).
- Build and oversee external partnerships related to IDEA.
- Partner with community partners to integrate IDEA into clinical practices, structures, processes and approaches as identified within the IDEA strategy.
- Collaborate with diverse community organizations to promote volunteer opportunities and strengthen relationships that reflect the agency’s IDEA values.
- Oversee the listening strategy by taking part in the development and implementation of annual surveys, pulse surveys, exit interviews, stay interviews, focus groups, etc.
- Recommend priorities to foster IDEA within the workplace, ensure a strong engagement level for our employees and enable Compass to become an Employer of Choice.
- Facilitate opportunities for shared learning and collaboration between the agency and community partners, strengthening IDEA initiatives and conflict resolution strategies.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously gather input from employees about IDEA related issues and conflicts.
- Organize events and activities that celebrate cultural diversity, fostering an inclusive environment where difference
