**Your Role with Us**:
Protego is looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to handle critical financial tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong bookkeeping skills who can ensure the accuracy of our financial records and support our financial stability by.
- Processing vendor invoices, managing payments, and reconcile statements to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Generating invoices, track payments, manage collections, and reconcile customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Monitoring daily cash flow, forecast financial requirements, and prepare reports on cash positions.
- Maintaining and organizing financial records, performing bank reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of general ledger entries.
- Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Ensuring adherence to financial policies, assisting with audits, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Providing additional support for various accounting tasks and administrative functions as needed.
**What You’ll Bring to This Role**:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
**Education and Certification**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is highly desirable.
