**Navigate Complexities. Create Change. Together. **This is our purpose at CUPS. Our unique integrated approach to care empowers people to work holistically to create and achieve goals, improve their well-being, and build readiness to navigate and access support in the community.
At CUPS, we work with clients who are experiencing the combined effects of poverty, trauma and systemic marginalization. They have often experienced, and continue to experience, significant trauma and complex circumstances. We meet people where they are in their journey and support them through low-barrier access to services and a trauma-informed approach.
Many of the clients who come through CUPS have multiple complexities and barriers to navigate while accessing care. We show up the same for everyone who walks through our doors. Whether someone is in crisis, carrying traumas, actively engaged in addiction, experiencing homelessness, or any other complexities at play, we afford every person dignity in their interactions with us.
Mental health counsellors are responsible for providing counselling and case management for clients who participate in CUPS programming and are connected to the CUPS Health Clinic. The mental health counsellor will provide individual and group counselling, complete outcome assessment and collaborate with internal and external resources as needed to support client goals. CUPS mental health counsellors work in alignment with CUPS Theory of Change to support participants in their goals utilizing CUPS integrated care services to support participants overall needs to maximize positive participant outcomes.
**Mental Health Counsellors with Rapid Care Counselling** support people who are currently experiencing, have lived experience, or are at risk of experiencing homelessness by offering trauma-informed, on-site mental health support at the time they are needed.
