As a full-time Human Resources Admin Assistant at Bethesda, you will be an essential part of our team, supporting HR processes, staff transitions and ensuring efficient administrative operations across the office. Your responsibilities will include assisting with recruitment, onboarding new staff, managing staff changes, and fully supporting our Human Resources department.

You will be working with a team of administrative assistants and managerial staff at our provincial office. Conveniently located in the business core of Abbotsford BC, Bethesda’s Provincial Office offers an easy commute within Abbotsford and from neighbouring communities.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support onboarding of new staff, including preparing sign-up documents, completing references and criminal record checks, coordinating training and completing required documentation.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process staff changes such as internal vacancies, transfers and terminations.
- Provide administrative support primarily to the HR department and assist the Office Coordinator as needed.
- Help develop and maintain HR forms, templates and office procedures.
- Create/review/edit forms, reports and other documents.
- Provide HR related support to managers, assisting with staffing and procedural guidance.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR procedures and other related matters.
- Support compliance with internal policies, collective agreement and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to implementing new HR technologies and office systems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and online HR platforms.
- Self-directed, intuitive and able to take initiative.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- At least 3 years of combined experience in administration and human resources.
- Post-secondary education or certification in Human Resources is an asset.
- Possession of Canadian, landed immigrant or legal working status (as required).
