Dartmouth, Canada R&D Crane Full time

The role of Administrative Support at R&D Crane is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of daily administrative and quality control functions within the organization. As part of a small team, this role will support various responsibilities essential to the safe execution of some of the largest crane jobs in Atlantic Canada

This position requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the desire to learn, grow, and become part of the solution. A passion for cranes is not required but considered to be asset.

**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Administrative**:

- Answer and direct incoming calls professionally and efficiently
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and document organization, specifically maintenance / Geotab
- Maintain accurate records and update databases as required
- Employee onboarding orientation and documentation
- Order office supplies
- Leadership support
- Employee engagement
- Maintain employee records
- Assist with generating reports and compiling documentation
- Provide support to office staff and operators as requested
- Assist with dispatching operators, ensuring accurate scheduling and coordination

**Maintenance**:

- Track and document maintenance records
- Filing of maintenance records and documentation
- Maintain accurate information in Fleet Cost and Care and Geotab
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance with suppliers

**Quality, Safety, and Compliance**:

- Safety portal maintenance
- Submit at least one Safety Observation Card per month
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain records of operator certifications and training
- Support documentation efforts for audits and inspections related to safety and compliance
- Assist with ISO documentation requirements

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous experience in an administrative support style of role. Preference will be given to those with experience in cranes, although general construction or dispatching experience will also be considered an asset
- Motivated to learn about the crane industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically and especially Excel
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and strong organizational skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
