**General Description of the Role**

The inventory counter/ inventory clerk job description involves keeping track of all products and supplies, ensuring that stock is organized, and assisting in the unloading and processing deliveries. This position requires the individual to be familiar with the materials he is responsible of inventorying and to be able to understand the movements of inventory including adjustments.

**Specific Tasks**
- To perform cycle count as well as year-end physical count of the inventory;
- To perform the inventory transfer;
- To organize the inventory in the stock room;
- To check the actual inventory in warehouse vs the computerized records and maintain accuracy of all counts;
- To report any discrepancies in the inventory records;
- To inform the manager when the need for inventory review arises and suggest surveys of stock;
- To assist the inventory manager in devising new ways to reduce shrink and maintain inventory control;
- To perform tasks that establish and maintain the inventory count records and audit trail documents;
- To performs miscellaneous position-related duties, as assigned by the supervisor/ manager;
To follows the company’s policies with respect to inventory, returns, receiving, shipping, samples and damages, and ensures they are adhered to.

**Education**: High School Diploma or equivalent is required;
**Experience**:

- minimum 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing and/ or inventory sector is preferred;
**Software**: ERP software: EPICOR, MS Office suite;
**Other Skills & Experiences**:

- Able to lift 50 pounds of weight
- Pays close attention to detail;
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Manages time efficiently;
- Uses basic math skills;
- Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks;
- Comfortable in highly diverse workforce environment;
- English - advanced (spoken and written)/ French - intermediate (spoken and written).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $14.25-$15.50 per hour
