**What it Means to be a Team Member at D2E**
As a cook at D2E you will be an integral member of our team, preparing ingredients for dishes, working on the line, practicing proper food safety, etc. Working and adapting as a team is crucial to providing the high standard of food service we provide to our patrons. You will also interact with many of our regulars and new guests providing them with an engaging and inviting experience. You are part of the culture we are spreading
**Responsibilities, Required Skills, and Qualifications**
- Opening and closing of the kitchen (i.e stock station/line, Monitor product freshness, following FIFO, ensure equipment is shut off properly at night, etc.)
- Comply with all food, health and safety standards, regulations, and policies
- Safely use and clean kitchen tools and equipment including knives, pans, oven trays, ovens, dishes, etc.
- Cook on the line and other kitchen stations during service hours both for our weekly menu and our weekend brunch menu
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure that foods come out quickly while maintaining the highest quality
- Portion food and complete basic prep tasks to support the flow of the kitchen.
- Receiving and organizing order deliveries
- Have strong product knowledge and be able to communicate ingredients to customers and FOH staff
- Experience cooking in restaurants is an asset.
- Plant based food knowledge is a plus
- You got that restaurant hustle
- High standard of quality and attention to detail. (i.e. plating aesthetics)
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize dine-in and to-go orders.
- Capacity to thrive in a team and independently.
- Passionate about the D2E brand, values, and team culture
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8-hour shifts.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs safely.
- Able to safely use ladders and step stools.
