**Salary**: $3,241.74 to $4,362.44 bi-weekly ($84,609 - $113,859/year)
**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director of Operational Support, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of offender rehabilitation programs, affording offenders the opportunity to make positive life choices to reduce recidivism and contribute to safer communities. You will also be responsible for the delivery of Centre programs, chairing the Section 32 FOIP Committee, managing FOIP information requests, chairing the Care in Placement Committee, chairing the Security and Classification Review Committee and chairing the Temporary Absence Review Committee.
You will also be responsible for:
- Program Maintenance and delivery.
- Public safety risk identification and communication to public.
- Offender risk assessment and placement within the Centre and province.
- Providing human resource management and leadership.
- Ensuring various Centre services and programs are being maintained at a high standard.
You will be responsible for decisions that directly impact ministry goals in relation to the provision of secure and efficient custody and community supervision, and inmates’ access to rehabilitative opportunities. Your strong leadership skills will assist you in communicating with Centre management, human resources, and other stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
- University graduation in a related field (Sociology, Criminology, Justice Studies, etc.)
- Four years of related experience (Correctional Service Worker 3, Correctional Peace Officer 3, Deputy Director)
Equivalency: one year of education for one year of experience; one year of experience for one year of education.
Assets:
- Supervisory experience in a correctional facility.
- Working knowledge of the Alberta Corrections Act, Criminal Code of Canada, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
- Experience working with Provincial Parole Policies and Procedures.
