**JOB SUMMARY**:
The driver is responsible for the safe operation of the HOME Moving Delivery Truck, assisting with the loading and unloading of materials, and accurately maintaining records.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Operates a large moving truck in the transportation of moving materials
- Planning daily driving routes and following the assigned schedule.
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle (daily vehicle inspection checklist)
- Assists in loading and unloading furniture, boxes and other items, using proper equipment to prevent damage.
- Ensuring items are transported safely by using appropriate packing materials and loading procedures.
- Maintains and cares for equipment and supplies and promotes safe and environmentally responsible practices.
- Oversees the accurate recording of Work Order information
- Sends pictures of the truck at the start and end of each job to document conditions and load.
- Tracks and records kilometers driven accurately.
- Reports any required repairs, low fuel levels, or other maintenance concerns promptly.
- Checks in with leadership every hour during the move to provide updates.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Criminal Record Check
- Valid driver's license
- Cleared Driving Record

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Extensive physical activity, including lifting, pushing or pulling objects over 50 pounds
- Work environment may include exposure to hazards or physical risks, requiring adherence to basic safety precautions
- Regular exposure to outdoor elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and loud noises

Paid peer positions are responsible for payment of all taxes arising out of the activities in connection with this Agreement, including federal and provincial income taxes, social, unemployment insurance taxes, and any other taxes or business license fees as required. The Lookout Housing and Health Society shall not be responsible for withholding any income or employment taxes whatsoever on behalf of the peer. To address any questions or concerns you have related to applicable taxes, Lookout will provide referrals to tax services as requested.
