We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Material Handler to join our team in Red Deer, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials within our warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders with precision and efficiency
- Receive, count, and verify incoming materials from vendors and customer returns
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of all materials
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our computerized inventory management system
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damaged materials promptly
- Assemble and package materials appropriately for shipment or customer pickup
- Complete necessary documentation for shipments, including Transportation of Dangerous Goods paperwork when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Assist in serving customers at the counter as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and exceptional customer service
- Report any safety concerns or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor or Profit Center Manager

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; college or university degree is an asset
- Minimum of 1 year warehouse experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (training may be provided)
- Valid driver's license
- Basic math skills and ability to perform accurate counts and measurements
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Ability to learn and efficiently use inventory management software
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (preferred)
- Knowledge of plumbing and building products (preferred)
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, procedures, and inventory management principles
- Commitment to following all health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment
