About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Residential Services, the Family Services Liaison is responsible for Respite,
Outreach, Host Agency, Individualized Service contracts and supporting families via the Delta Family Alliance
Network. This role will conduct the organizations’ recruitment, screening, selection, monitoring and evaluation
of contractors while adhering to societal policies, procedures and accreditation standards. Additionally, it
provides support, guidance, networking opportunities and training to families with a child, youth or adult with
developmental disabilities, enabling them to advocate more effectively.- A Degree/Diploma in a related filed (Social Services or Human Services) with at least 5 years of relevant
- experience.- Experience working in non-profit or public sectors is a strong asset;
- 2 years experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and/or their families and
- caregivers;- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal);
- Able to develop working relationships with all stakeholders;
- Solid time-management skills so as to plan and meet deadlines;
- Ability to be self-directed and work independently as well as in a team environment;
- Computer-literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
- As per public health orders, our employees require vaccination against COVID-19.
