Donor Relations Coordinator, Georgian Bay General

The Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation (GBGHF) is the philanthropic partner of the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH). We partner with donors and the community to drive innovation and empower GBGH to deliver exceptional health care for the residents of North Simcoe.
As the **Donor Relations Coordinator **you are a key administrative position at the GBGHF. Reporting directly to the Director, Finance & Operations you will help further the mission as we work to empower GBGH to deliver exceptional health care. In this hybrid _(majority on site)_ position you will be supporting strategies that will help build and sustain a solid financial foundation. You will be responsible for the administration of the donor database. Entering, maintaining, and reporting on donor gifts and information from the database: financial reporting, tracking, monitoring, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity, of Raisers Edge. This role will also be accountable for the lottery operations of the Foundation.
Your responsibilities will include,
**Donor Stewardship**
- Reinforce GBGHF mission and brand to steward donors and enquiring public to build long-term loyalty, donor retention and satisfaction.
- Respond to enquiries, requests and donations received by phone, digital communications, written correspondence, and in-person in a professional and timely manner.
- Remain current on GBGHF programs, campaigns, and activities; share appropriately as part of stewardship efforts.
**Donor Data Systems and Processing**
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of supporter database functions, processes, and procedures; investigate challenges and system issues, recommend solutions, and implement changes as directed.
- Ensure timely and accurate input of supporter information into donor database systems _(Raisers Edge)_ for quality, consistency, integrity, and accuracy.
- Process financial information_ (donations)_ into Raisers Edge and reconcile donations on database as required.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, reference guides and Supporter Relations Standards of Excellence; ensure compliance with data protection and privacy requirements.
- Processing all tax receipting in a timely manner and in accordance with CRA guidelines.
**Lottery**
- Manage under the direction of the DFO the staff and community Lottery operations.
- Correspond with the Township on all licensing and reporting matters.
- Help lead the growth and expansion of the Lottery operations.
- Ensure all deadlines and reporting requirements are adhered to
**Other**
- Assist leadership and their teams on special projects.
- Assist the DFO with credit card reconciliations and cheque processing.
- Through database reporting and prospect research, identify prospects for the fundraising team.
- Participate in cross training in other job functions as required.
- Maintain donor privacy and protect GBGHF operations by keeping information confidential.
- Adhere to the AHP and AFP Code of Ethics and Donor Bill of Rights.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to attend and support off-site events as well as meetings in the community.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
- Assist with donor events_ (on site and off site)_, as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Experience in administrative support and customer/donor.
- Experience with donor/fundraising systems, including data entry, donation processing, data integrity, is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong customer/supporter focus and keen attention to detail, confidentiality a must.
- Excellent administrative/organizational and priority-setting skills; applies sound judgment.
- High level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Fosters sensitivity to and respect for cultural differences.
- Knowledge of _(or willing to learn)_ and adherence to fund raising professional standards and ethics and the Donor Bill of Rights.
- Familiar _(or willing to learn)_ with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines regarding charitable tax receipting and a commitment to stay current on changes to guidelines and regulations.
- Commitment to continued professional and personal growth and development through continuing education programs and self-directed learning opportunities.
- Must have an outgoing personality and be comfortable communicating with donors.
- Well organized and initiative-taking with the ability to maintain composure under high pressure or stressful conditions while effectively with multiple competing priorities.
