- This position will take place in the evenings and weekends on campus. This position is a permanent part time position (min 21 hours per week). There is Heavy Lifting which is a key role in this position as there are set-ups and take downs of equipment each day.

**What you’ll do**

**NATURE**AND**SCOPE** OF**WORK**
This is clerical and manual work. An incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for monitoring the outdoor and indoor facilities, equipment and facility services. An incumbent works with the Centre for Sport and Wellness staff and coaches in preparation for events, communicates with facility rental clients, and coordinates equipment set up requirements as directed. An incumbent reports to the Supervisor of the Centre for Sport & Wellness or the Director of Athletics and Recreation.

**SOME**ILLUSTRATIVE**EXAMPLES** OF**WORK**
- Communicates with facility rental clients once a contract has been negotiated to review set up requirements. Ensures this information is conveyed to all relevant staff. Ensures that the facility set up is in order for each event in a timely fashion. Advises the Supervisor or Director of any problems surrounding booking and/or set up requirements.
- Completes a post-event review form after each facility booking.
- Communicates the set up requirements for each day with the attendant or assistant on duty and ensures that the facility and set up are in order for each event. Identifies a weekly task list for the Centre for Sport and Wellness department, and provides feedback on task completion.
- Ensures security of facility equipment and supplies, and that the facility and department regulations and policies are followed by all user groups. Provides reports on irregularities in these matters.
- Securing the buildings when opening or closing of the facility.
- Performs scheduled equipment and facility inspections and ensures that an accurate log is kept of work needed and completed. Communicates with the Facilities Department to ensure regular and proper maintenance of the facility.

**What you’ll bring**

**REQUIRED**TRAINING**AND**EXPERIENCE**
- Completion of Grade 12
- One year of experience working in a sport or recreation facility.

**Days and Hours of Work**
- Hours may vary, and will include evenings weekdays, weekends, and non-standard work weeks. Shifts are primarily 3:30 pm to 11:00 pm during the weekdays and on weekends the shift can be anywhere from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Shifts can change or vary based on operational needs. Shifts can be on short notice, hours can change due to facility operations or cancelled last minute by supervisor of director. Minimum 21 hours/week.
