**About You**:
You are an experienced, collaborative leader who loves people. You bring an upbeat attitude and sense of fun to work. An expert clinician, you lead a team of like-minded health care professionals to provide excellent resident-directed care. Possessing strong interpersonal skills, you thrive on fostering and maintaining healthy productive relationships. You navigate conflict well and will bring seasoned critical thinking and problem-solving skills to this position. Serving seniors and supporting team, you are detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage your time, workload, and conflicting priorities effectively and efficiently. You value learning, embrace innovative change, and promote health and wellness using a resident directed approach.

Ideally you have a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognised school of nursing with current registration in good standing with BCCNM. Additional training in gerontology is preferred, and a degree in health care administration is an asset. Experience leading a mid-size to large team and at least five years’ leadership experience within a seniors’ independent living, hospitality, or service setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required.

You will lead a dedicated and hardworking team that loves seniors. As Director of Care, you will oversee our long term living community Inglewood. 230 seniors call Inglewood home where our vision is to provide exceptional service so they will experience life well in a supportive community.

Inglewood is on the verge of defining a new standard for seniors care in Canada. A proposed redevelopment of the Inglewood property will result in a vibrant, intergenerational community designed to exceed the highest standards in communicable disease prevention to keep our seniors safe. The vision for Inglewood includes 700 units of seniors housing including affordable housing, staff housing, and independent living. This dynamic campus will allow seniors to live close to their loved ones in care with the added assurance that many of the essential care team members are a permanent part of this community.

You are responsible for day-to-day clinical operations, providing leadership to our clinical team. You will cultivate an environment that supports and respects the autonomy, independence, dignity, and privacy of our residents and fosters a fun and respectful work environment for team members. You guide budgeting and financial plans. You support hiring of new team members and are responsible for team discipline and accountability.

Inglewood’s Long-Term Care communities offer 24-hour nursing care to 230 seniors in West Vancouver in a compassionate, caring setting. Whether due to physical limitations or issues such as Alzheimer’s disease, residents receive personalised support and care from our dedicated, knowledgeable interdisciplinary team.

This is a full-time, permanent position located in West Vancouver. Total compensation includes competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, four weeks’ vacation, RRSP matching, and support for professional development.

You would consent to a Criminal Record Check (CRC) for working with Vulnerable Adults and are able to provide a clear current tuberculosis test. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is also a condition of employment.
