The Computer Support Technician is responsible for coordination, control and integration with Corporate IT Policies.
**As Computer Support Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include**:
- Under the normal supervision and control, identifies and resolves customer issues and concerns related to office equipment, hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot issues with PC client hardware and software.
- Installs and implements office hardware and software according to company standards and procedures.
- Plans and coordinates the replacement of office equipment according to an established schedule.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies.
- Maintains hardware and software inventory databases to keep an up-to-date list
- Installs and configures desktop computer, software and peripherals following standard IT group procedures.
- Creates and maintains a variety of images for Windows systems.
- Provides user support.
- Work with hardware vendors to resolve issues.
- Performs moves and reconnects computer and telephone equipment (VOIP).
- Provides work coverage for departmental IT functions to cover vacations, illnesses, training, etc.
- Replaces defective parts on peripherals and PCs.
- Ensures tasks are completed in a timely matter.
- Participates in the training of Class 3 Computer Support Technician.
- Performs other normal related duties as assigned.
**To join our team, you must hold**:
- College diploma (DEC) in computer support.
- Minimum of two (2) years of work and experience in computer support in a large enterprise.
- Knowledge of the various operating systems from Microsoft Windows, Linux and Microsoft Office software, etc.
- Experience with computer equipment connected to a LAN network.
- Autonomous
- Good oral and written communication skills (English, French).
- Availability to work on call occasionally.
