Supervisor - Hazmat & Demolition

**Responsibilities**:
The Supervisor will contribute to develop deliverable planning, and subsequently be a deliverable support/reviewer/owner and resource during execution of the plan as defined by the project scope
- Develop/contribute to deliverable level planning
- Identify issues and participate in the resolution
- Provide regular status updates
- Obtain stakeholder input/acceptance for project deliverables
- Support the physical construction deliveries upon arrival to job site including preparation of safe zones, HASP, etc.
- Support the Coordination of the physical activities of Contractors in coordination with the superintendent, Contractor's Manager, and Operations Manager - Oversee all site crews including site foreman, operators, Labourer and contractors
- Supervise the handling and transport of contaminated materials
- Perform regular physical job site walkthroughs to observe safety and quality (i.e. deficiencies) and to ensure adherence to schedule & design
- Identify site-related issues to Superintendent, Contractor's Manager, and Operations Manager (safety, quality, cost, schedule & design) and assist in resolving issues
- Participate in the development of operational and project plans
**Occupational Certification**:
- Trades Certifications are an asset
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Valid First-Aid certification
- CSTS Certification
**Experience**:
- 3 - 5 years of Supervisor Experience working on structural demolition projects
- Must show experience working in a team environment with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
- Previous management experience with the ability to lead, develop and mentor junior staff.
**Knowledge**:
- Familiarity of quality management
- An understanding and practical skills in supply management
- Experience with project estimating, budgeting, cost tracking and project financials including budget forecasting and project accruals
- Understanding of codes, and regulations
- Adherence to QMLP of policies & procedures
- Follow safety guidelines
**Abilities**:
- An ability to delegate work and explain tasks
- Supervision of workers to meet tight deadlines
- Conflict resolution skills
- An ability to motive and train workers as needed

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
Work is primarily on the work sites. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required for all site work.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Abatement/Demo: 5 years (required)
- Supervising: 5 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driver's License (required)
