**Responsibilities**:

- Provide exceptional customer service to clients
- Perform a variety of hair styling services, including haircuts, shaves, and beard trims
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the barber shop
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired hairstyle
- Upsell retail products to clients
- Manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and handling payments

**Skills**:

- Strong retail sales skills to promote and sell products
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and understand their needs
- Proficiency in front desk operations, such as appointment scheduling and payment processing
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients
- Expertise in hair styling techniques and trends
- Ability to upsell additional services or products to enhance the client experience

You will play a vital role in creating a positive experience for our clients, ensuring they leave our barber shop looking and feeling their best. **Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time

**Salary**: $15.50-$36.72 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K1P 5M3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- hair styling: 3 years (preferred)
