Field Mobility Associate

Shift Transit is a leading mobility operations company, overseeing 25,000 mobility assets on a daily basis, including scooters, bikes, carsharing vehicles, and micro transit/paratransit vans. As the operator of Bike Share Toronto, Shift Transit manages more than 14,700 docks, 7,185 bikes and 630 stations that cover more than 200 square kilometres across the City of Toronto. Shift Transit, with its partner PBSC Urban Solutions, has years of experience planning, implementing, and operating bike-sharing programs across North America. - Perform a pre-and post-inspection of the rebalancing vehicle and address any issues with the Field Operations team.
- Follow instructions and respond to dispatch effectively.
- Retrieve inoperative bicycles by direction or via inoperative bicycle software.
- Inspect docking stations for operability, safety, and cleanliness.
- Maintain the area around bike stations as needed to allow members to use the service seamlessly.
- Set the highest standards when interacting with current and potential customers.
- Collaborate with the Field Operations team to constantly improve the system and escalate any issues to dispatch.
- Perform light maintenance functions such as refilling receipt paper, and graffiti removal.
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicles with/without a trailer attachment) and use bicycles and/or public transportation for travel.
- Drive a variety of vehicles (large van, cube van, pick-up truck with a trailer) to redistribute bikes as needed based on real-time demand data.
- Load and unload vehicles with bikes. Communicate with dispatchers and follow instructions delivered through our dispatch software.
- Evaluate bike safety and bike station condition, and report issues to dispatch as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of the system to provide excellent customer service to current and potential customers in the field.
- Be able to perform repetitive work and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions all year around.
- All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities to accomplish company key performance indicators (KPI).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must possess a valid Class G driver's license
- Must provide a clean driver abstract
- Strong multitasking ability
- Drive to learn and develop skill sets
- Must have great customer interaction skills
- Must have an excellent knowledge of the City of Toronto, previous driving experience an asset
- Must be physically fit, able to do repetitive work, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be tech savvy, and comfortable using a smartphone
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions all year around
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in operating trailers will be considered an asset
