**About us**

Urban International School (UIS) is a private high school in Toronto inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education in Ontario, Canada. Over the last decade, we have offered specialized academic courses that are designed for students who wish to pursue higher education in Canada and around the world. Based on the program students wish to pursue in post-secondary school, UIS prepares a customized study plan that underlies one of our four streams: Engineering, Science/Math, Business, Arts or College. Most of our graduates are accepted in prestigious universities such as the University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, McGill University, among many other Canadian and international universities.

UIS has a friendly and dedicated team of Ontario-certified teachers who teach courses from Grade 7 to Grade 12 to a diverse student body that includes students from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America.

**About the Position**

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Work as a liaison between students, school, homestay families, and residence to build a long-term and healthy relationship with them.
- Develop a recruiting plan for new homestay families in Toronto for students who are registered for Urban International School.
- Visiting and assessing current homestay family upon the appointment to discuss their concerns and other issues.
- Coordinate pre-booking for coming students, extensions and placements to match them with the ideal homestay family including airport pickup placement and its service.
- Handle and resolve any homestay concerns and issues along with the Student Advisor/Service Department.
- Always be ready for the emergency phone line.
- Prepare various types of reports and schedule internally needed for the Operation Department.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects relating to the school residence and its booking with the Operation Department.
- Coordinate and be responsible for airport pickup service on request from the student advisor department until they safely arrive in their accommodation.

**Qualifications and Skills**

English and Second Language of the following is an asset: Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog.

Previous knowledge and experience with the educational industry such as high school, post-secondary institutions, or ESL schools in terms of homestay/residence experiences is an asset.

Access to car and a valid Ontario G2 or G driver’s license.

Able to work duties outside of school hours and weekends upon request.

Recent Graduate are welcomed for this position.

Highly ambitious and self-motivated with a strong sense of teamwork to accomplish goals.

Be an outgoing, professional, and friendly

Must be willing to learn and adapt to the work environment setting.

Able to live in the school residence is an asset for Student Supervising. (free accommodation and meals provided)
