Veterinary Assistant/receptionist

Shelburne Animal Hospital, located in Shelburne, Ontario, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with all types of clients
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Comfortable restraining both dogs and cats for procedures (e.g., blood collection, medical treatments, radiographs)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in a small animal clinic (6 months or higher)
- Proficient computer skills
- Experience with AVImark is an asset
- Veterinary Assistant Program Certificate, Veterinary Support Assistant, Veterinary Technician Diploma, Animal Health Technologist, or other relevant animal education certificates/diplomas

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare for and assist with procedures/surgeries
- Treat and monitor in-house patients
- Maintain and clean the hospital daily including stocking and order supplies as needed
- Open and close the hospital
- Other day-to-day tasks
