Keep reading, as we have an opportunity for you A Swim Instructor at British Swim School teaches swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old using our fun, gentle and progressive methods. You will receive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers and abilities. Having fun and interacting with our swimmers is an important part of the role A strong focus is placed on providing survival swim techniques living out the British Swim School mission and making a big impact on decreasing drowning. - **MINIMUM**_**Qualifications**: - **Must be 17 years of age or older.**: - **Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR Certification(s)**_**REQUIRED**_**.**: - _**Swimming/Instructing: 1-2 years Experience.**_ - **Enthusiastic personality**: - **Experience in the water teaching.**: - **Must maintain**_**ALL**_**certifications throughout the length of employment.**: - **Must complete**_**ALL**_**required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training.** **Preferred Qualifications**: - Experience working with children. - Customer service skills: 1 year preferred. **Your Typical Responsibilities**: - **Support the Aquatics Leader/Manager and/or Business Owner(s).**: - Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons and environment. - Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs. - **Maintain certifications throughout employment.**: - Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high _**AND**_stand in the water for up to 4 consecutive hours. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** - **Enthusiastic personality with strong relationship and customer service skills.**: - Effectively communicate with customers and employees, bi-lingual is a plus. - **Disciplined to follow schedules and enforce safety procedures as well as follow policies, teaching methods and procedures of British Swim School.**: - Able to multi-task in a changing environment with priorities in order. **About Us**: "Here at British Swim School, we are more than just a fun, surface-level swim lesson provider.
